In the warm desert sunset | The Gainer Family | El Paso - Ft Bliss, Tx

I like to say this session started quite some time ago. Alysse found me on facebook while still stationed in Georgia and had kept in contact with me until they made the move out west. Little by little piecing together their dream family session, she knew she was dead set on Red Sands. During our session, she mentioned "I saw photos you posted here and all I knew was I wanted THIS location.". While I was running a few minutes late 🤦‍♀️ we got there as the sun was perfectly positioned, slowly creeping behind the mountain line in the horizon.

Conversation between myself, Alysse, Derrick aaand Derrick followed us up the dunes and into the warmth of the sun while the sand was cool under our feet. "Little" Derrick, as like to refer to him, was a blast! His little smile shined as bright as the sun behind them. His shoes on the other hand, were not having it. Those adorable toddler-sized grown-man shoes, however, were NOT having it 😂

I loved photographing this family and I'm so honored to have been chosen for this session so far in advance.
