How I have loved watching this family grow! It started with a maternity session in the mountains when Bernice was about 8 months pregnant with Blair and here we are, almost 2 years later. I see Bernice multiple times a year, she booked this session all the way back on Black Friday for White Sands in early March, but high wind had other plans, so we rescheduled and before our session date, White Sands National Monument closed until further notice due to the virus, we changed location to Memorial Park. Though no orders were in place yet, by this point I had stopped taking studio sessions and was strictly shooting outdoors, doing more than the CDC recommended in terms of distance and precautions. I so badly wanted to hug each of them. There were a few times during our session where Byron went straight for it and it pulled my heart in so many directions. He doesn't understand what's happening, we simply put a little white lie in place and told him "Grace is sick" so he wouldn't be upset and think I just didn't want his lovings 😭
It wasn't the original plans for this family session but hell that gorgeous tree alone was enough to make it as stunning as White Sands! At the very end before we departed Byron gave me the quickest of toe taps, my heart a flutter ♥️
